A vibrant residential area with fantastic views. Central, close to the water and with a wonderful view. When housing was built at Alvik beach in Stockholm, Sweden, the location was crucial and the architecture attractive.
With its eighteen floors, Alviks Torn is the westside’s tallest residential building. Building that high was made possible in close collaboration with the City of Stockholm, who shared the vision of utilizing the land and creating housing for many.
The architectural competition that was announced landed in a winning proposal from C/F Möller/Bergs Arkitektkontor. The choice fell on their almost sculptural tower and residences that are characterized by light and exciting angles. With terrazzo facades, white cement and modern architecture, the high-rise building and the adjacent block of nine-story residences are a bright element in the environment. With restaurants and shops on the ground floor and a large, green courtyard, there is room for both people and meetings. In the lower buildings there are duplex apartments with both terraces and balconies. In the tower, the largest apartments have views in several directions. With well-thought-out floor plans and an elevator directly down to the garage, both comfort and convenience are guaranteed. (source: peab.se)
The project set high demands on, among other things, low U-values and high sound reduction in combination with unique solutions in design and logistics.
Alviks Torn stands out in a nice way. In the same way, we hope that the window shown in our upcoming showroom will also make an impression on visitors.
